Robert-Poirier Stadium

The Robert Poirier Stadium, or Villejean Athletics Stadium, is a covered athletics stadium designed by Chabanne and partners, inaugurated on June 5, 2015 on Villejean campus in Rennes. It is operated by the Department of Ille-et-Vilaine and is located on a plot owned by Rennes-II University as part of the development of a campus of sporting excellence and can accommodate 1,200 spectators including 734 seated. It originated in the development of the Ker Lann campus during the 1990s.

Several multi-sport covered stage projects are envisaged, but are abandoned due to lack of funding. Only with the development of the sports excellence campus in Brittany will the project begin to be realized from the early 2010s.
