About

The Cap-Ferret tramway, also known as the Cap-Ferret train, is a French historical and tourist railway located on the territory of the commune of Lège-Cap-Ferret in Gironde. Its origin dates back to the hippomobile trams that appeared in 1879 and more recently to the "small train" put into service in 1952 by Jacques Millet. Since then, he has served regularly during the beautiful season, from April to September, between the disembarkation of Bélisaire, on the basin of Arcachon, and the terminus of the beach of Horizon, also known as the small train, on the ocean.
