The Saint-Luc church in Grenoble was built in 1967 in the heart of the Ile Verte district, as the city of Grenoble grew rapidly. Since 2019 it has been planned that the church will be sold by the diocese of Grenoble-Vienne, which owns it. The closure was officially announced by the Vicar General of the diocese on September 6, 2025, which has been effective since November 24, 2025.
