église Saint-Léger de Jagny-sous-Bois
Saint-Léger Church is a Catholic parish church located in Jagny-sous-Bois, France. It is an incomplete church, which lost its rustic nave and without architectural interest in the middle of the twentieth century, when it was demolished because of its bad condition. Only the south-eastern wall, which connects the bell tower into a very simple building house to the remaining part of the church.
These are the two straight spans of the central vessel of the choir, accompanied by two collaterals, and the polygonal apse. This set completed around the middle of the sixteenth century is very sober outside, but the interior shows the entire register of Renaissance decoration of the best level. The dais of the statue niches of the apse are a special feature that few other churches do not share.
Apart from the carved details, the architecture itself is always of flamboyant Gothic design. The church has been a historic monument since 1980, and its restoration was completed in 2014.
