église Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité de Lassy
Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativity Church is a parish Catholic church located in Lassy (Val-d'Oise), France. It is a small single-vessel church, which still retains its Gothic choir from the time of the founding of the parish in the 13th century. This part is built with the same care as the largest churches of the time.
The apse was retouched in the mid-16th century, without altering its structure or affecting its aesthetics. The steep and rustic side bell tower houses a bell of 1733, probably dating back to that time. It was also in the 18th century that the nave was rebuilt and equipped with a sober portal of classic style.
The mutilations that the choir suffered during clumsy repairs, and the absence of any decoration carved outside, have not justified protection in respect of the historical monuments of the church to date. The bell and the baptismal fonts of 1556 are, however, classified. Our Lady Church is affiliated with the parish of Luzarches, and Sunday Masses are celebrated every six weeks from October to June, on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
