Church building
église du Vieux Saint-Sauveur de Caen
The church of the Old Saint-Sauveur is an ancient place of worship on Saint-Sauveur Square in the ancient city centre of Caen. Before the French Revolution, the church was parish and was called just Saint-Sauveur Church. It took its present name in 1802 when the Church of Notre-Dame-de-Froide-Rue, which became the centre of the new parish, was renamed the Church of Saint-Sauveur of Caen. The monument has been classified as historical monuments since 29 June 1951.
