About

The church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Resurrection du Chesnay is a building located at 2 avenue of Dr Schweitzer, Chesnay, dedicated to Catholic worship. The church was built on land belonging to the young ladies Madeleine and Suzanne Poupinet, granddaughters of the former mayor Julien Poupinet, and sold to Aladar de Balkany, promoter and father of Robert Zellinger de Balkany, on the sole condition that a church be built there, as well as a cultural centre, which will become the Martin-Luther-King centre. The construction of the church, as part of Operation Parly 2, is entrusted to Claude Balick, architect of the promoter.
