The Paleobotanical gallery was installed in 1972 in the eastern end of the building built in the 19th century by architect Charles Rohault de Fleury to house the herbariums and the geology and mineralogy collections of the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris.
