The Édouard-Marie-Heckel Botanical Garden is the main botanical garden in Marseille. It is located on the perimeter of Borély Park in the 8th arrondissement. Its plant collection includes about 3000 species from around the world, organized into nine theme gardens. The site houses several remarkable buildings such as the Villa Rose and the tropical greenhouse, two 19th-century buildings.
