Mirapolis is a former French theme park located in Courdimanche, in the new town of Cergy-Pontoise (Val-d'Oise). Inaugurated on 20 May 1987, it finally closed its doors on 20 October 1991 after five operating seasons. The development of Mirapolis is launched at the dawn of the arrival of The Walt Disney Company in Europe with Euro Disney Resort.

It is promoted by its designers as the "first large French amusement park". The project was undertaken thanks to the support of businessman Ghaith Pharaoh and designed by architect Anne Fourcade, and is mainly financed by bank loans, notably from the Crédit National. The latter is the main shareholder of the company Cergy-Parc, second owner of the park after the deposit of balance sheet of Paris-Parc.

Club Med replaces the management team of the first season before being replaced by a group of fora, initially opposed to the park and running it until the balance sheet. A precursor of a new product in the amusement park market, Mirapolis is characterised by a certain demeasurement, both in the means and budgets allocated and in its extent (55 hectares). The...
