The Thabor Park, located close to the city centre of Rennes in the French department of Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany, is a public park built on more than ten hectares, the particularity of which is to mix a garden with French, an English garden and an important botanical garden. Its name refers to a mountain overlooking Lake Tiberias, Mount Thabor. Since its private origin, vegetable garden and pleasure of the monks of Saint-Melaine, abbey long outside the "walls" of the city, the park has become, through successive developments and enlargements, one of the emblematic places of the city and most appreciated.

A simple public promenade before the Revolution, enriched by a botanical garden, the park was enhanced between 1866 and 1868 by the contributions of Denis Bühler by setting up various points in boltingrin, "ferre", French gardens and English gardens. At the beginning of the 20th century, the southern part of the park, called "Les Catherinettes", was built in extension of the English garden.
