église Saint-Nicolas-de-Tolentin de Brou
Saint-Nicolas-de-Tolentin de Brou is a church in the Royal Monastery of Brou, Bourg-en-Bresse, Ain (France), built at the request of Marguerite of Austria (1480-1530). It is a masterpiece of the flamboyant Gothic of the early 16th century. Funeral scene to house the tombs of Marguerite of Austria, her husband Philibert II and his mother Marguerite of Bourbon, the church of Brou was also to celebrate the glory of a regent of the Netherlands, magnifying the Houses of Burgundy, Habsburg and Savoie. It was in the church of Brou that Saint Peter Chanel, patron of the missions of Oceania, was ordained a priest on 15 July 1827.
