About

Saint-Firmin Church is a parish Catholic church located in Vineuil-Saint-Firmin, Oise department, France. It succeeds a medieval building, which was entirely replaced by the present church, built in a single campaign of works between 1540 and 1543 thanks to the patronage of the connétable Anne de Montmorency. Its dimensions are modest, and its flamboyant Gothic architecture is very simple and without ambition, but the shapes and proportions are harmonious, and the homogeneity of the whole is remarkable.

It is only noted that the networks of the windows are of great diversity: on fifteen windows, no more than three display a single drawing. It is especially the five Historied Glasses of the Renaissance that make the reputation of St.Firmin Church. They are grouped in the choir, and were partly made by great masters of the time.
