About

Saint-Rémy de Barbery Church is a parish Catholic church located in Barbery, Oise, France. It is a small building with a single nave, with a somewhat rustic bill, which dates mainly from the middle of the twelfth century, for the nave, and from the middle of the sixteenth century, for the eastern parts. The first two spans of the nave were redesigned in the modern era, and lost their interest, but the third span retains a vault of original warheads, and corresponds to the base of the old bell tower, and at the same time to the first span of the old choir.

By the middle of the 16th century, its second span was replaced by a small transept and a five-sided apse, and the church of Barbery thus offers one of the rare examples of a rural church with transept of that time. The style is flamboyant Gothic, but the influences of the Renaissance manifest itself through the return to the arch in full circle. The bedside is distinguished by the importance of its glazed surfaces.
