Saint-Remi Church is a Catholic church located in Laigneville, Oise department, France. Its central tower, whose first floor is hidden by the roofs, has bays flanked by columnettes bearing capitals of a rather archaic Romanesque style, which evokes the beginning of the twelfth century. Now, the base of the bell tower, vaulted with warheads, has everything of the primitive Gothic style, and should not be much before the middle of the 12th century.
It is associated with a broken cradle vault covering the next span of the primitive choir. The two arms of the transept are of uneven length, and have not been built under the same countryside. The southern crusillon, deeper, has the peculiarity of possessing a southern wall carved from the rock, which is unique in the region.
It was once extended by an apsidiole apparently covered with a nerved cul-de-four vault, whose primer still seems to remain, but has in fact been completely rebuilt. The south crusillon, much smaller, is accompanied by a tiny rectangular chapel. The nave would have been built after the completion of the eastern parts, during the second half of the twelfth century, but was not vaulted...
