The Cahors amphitheatre is a Roman amphitheatre built in the town of Divona Cadurcorum, today Cahors in the French Lot department. This large amphitheater (120 × 90 m) is built, probably in the second half of the first century, in the ancient city itself and not at a distance, which is uncommon. Abandoned towards the end of the fourth century, it was discovered only in the 2000s and incidentally. Its remains, exposed in an archaeological crypt, are classified as historical monuments in 2019.
The amphitheatre is built at the southeast corner of the intersection of the roads considered to be the structural axes of the city road. A large monumental ensemble is formed to the south of the decumanus maximus, with from west to east the large circular cella temple, forum and amphitheatre. The implantation of the amphitheatre in the urban centre is a rare arrangement outside the Narbonnaise Gaul; She found herself in Samarobriva (Amiens).
