Church building
église Saint-Urcisse de Cahors
The parish church of Saint-Urcisse de Cahors, located near the banks of the Lot in the medieval town of Cahors, is considered one of the major buildings that bear witness to the transition from Roman art to Gothic art in Quercy. The church was listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments in September 1926. In 1988, the church was finally fully classified.
Several objects (tableaux, bentier, etc.) are referenced in the Palissy database. Today, the church, inaccessible from three sides apart from the west, is closed to the public for security reasons related to the instability of the building.
