Thermae
arc de Diane
The arch of Diane is the main vestige of the Roman thermal baths of Divona Cadurcorum, the Gallo-Roman city which later became Cahors (the Lot department, France). Contrary to what his name suggests, it is not a temple or an arc of triumph dedicated to the goddess Diane. The thermal baths of which it is one of the walls are built under the Roman High Empire, without more precision possible. They were probably disused during the fourth century but their complete plan could not be lifted.
