Saint Martin Church is a parish Catholic church located in Survilliers, Val-d'Oise, France. It was built in two main stages, between 1483 and 1500 and between 1535 and 1554. The dedication to Saint Martin de Tours was celebrated in 1493, according to an inscription behind the altar, and the year of completion is engraved on a key vault.
The church thus belongs to the flamboyant Gothic period and to the beginning of the Renaissance, but the architectural styles of its period of construction do not manifest themselves in all their dimension. The architects did not seek elegance and refinement, but made every effort to ensure the solidity and coherence of the whole, and they showed a developed sense for harmony and the proportion of forms. Thus, the church is not signalled by architectural and artistic achievements, but by an astonishing homogeneity and stylistic uniqueness: more than seventy years have passed from the beginning of the work to the end of the project.
