chapelle Sainte-Thérèse de Valbertrand
The Sainte-Thérèse Chapel is a Catholic chapel in Toulon serving the Valbertrand district in the West of Toulouse. It depends on the parish of the Sacred Heart of Toulon, in the diocese of Fréjus-Toulon.
History: To evangelize the immense territory of the West of Toulouse, several chapels of neighborhoods were built between the two wars, including this one. His first stone was blessed on 17 January 1938 on a land given by Mr Rebuffel. The chapel was completed a few months later and blessed on Thursday, April 14, 1938. The first Mass takes place three days later for the Holy Day of Easter. The bishop of Fréjus-Toulon, Bishop Augustin Simeone (de), came to consecrate it on September 17, 1938 in honour of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, with Saint John Bosco as secondary patron. It has a Greek cross-shaped plan. The facade of the narthex is protected by an awning above the porch. The gable of the chapel is surmounted by a bell.
