église Saint-Léger de Mouy
Saint-Léger de Mouy Church is a Gothic-style Catholic parish church located in Mouy, a commune of the Oise in the Hauts-de-France region of France. It has a remarkable polygonal choir of the third quarter of the 12th century, and the nave and transept completed before the middle of the 13th century retain a great homogeneity. The trapus character of these parts of the building, due to an increase in the ground and the temporary character of the steeple of very low height, is compensated by an original arrangement of the windows, and by an elevation on three floors within the nave.
It thus has a floor of previously open galleries on the attic, but now blocked. The western gate is very richly decorated, but it lost its authenticity following a radical restoration in the 19th century. The church has been classified as historical monuments since 28 May 1936.
His story remains for its most part in the shadow, all archives having lost. It is in the centre of the parish of Sainte-Claire de Mouy.
