The Palais des Sports Pierre-Mendès-France, also known as Palais des Sports de Grenoble (locally abbreviated as Palais des Sports), is a sports equipment inaugurated on 12 October 1967 according to the plans of architects Robert Demartini and Pierre Junillion to host the ice skating events of the 1968 Olympic Winter Games, as well as the closing ceremony chaired by Prime Minister Georges Pompidou. At its opening, it is then called the Ice Stadium. Located in Paul-Mistral Park, it is currently used as a place for sports or cultural activities.
