chapelle de la clinique Sainte-Barbe
The chapel of the Sainte-Barbe clinic is located on the premises of this clinic, on Rue Sainte-Marguerite (neighborhood of the Gare) in Strasbourg. The main building of the Sainte-Barbe clinic was built by Joseph Massol in 1757. The present chapel was built in 1877 by Eugène Petiti.
Inside the chapel is an Annunciation made by Ignace Stern dit Stella and offered by the King of Bavaria Louis I. It decorated the high altar of the old chapel dating from 1842. It was there that in the 7th century the bishop Saint Arbogast asked to be buried, at the time on the Saint Michael Hill.
