About

Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Church is a Catholic church located in Haravilliers, France. Of generous dimensions in relation to the importance of the village, it stands out in the first glance not its high bell tower before the southern facade, but it is not of great architectural interest. The most remarkable element is the Romanesque staircase turret at the southwest corner of the building, covered by a richly decorated lantern.

The organization and plan of the church are difficult to understand, for almost every century has left its mark (except the seventeenth and twentieth centuries), and all architectural styles from late novel to classicism are represented, except the flamboyant Gothic. At the same time, the different parts of the church often gather elements from different periods. The building has been listed as a historic monument since 1915.
