église Saint-Denis de Mogneville
Saint-Denis Church is a Catholic church located in Mogneville, Oise department, France. It is Romanesque, except for the lateral chapels and the arrow, and its oldest elements date back to the early twelfth century. Apart from some remains, these are mainly the baptismal fonts and the first floor of the bell tower.
Otherwise, the church dates mainly from the years 1130 / 1140, for the transept and the choir, and from the years 1150 / 1160, for the nave and the lower side, which were abolished after 1764. The eastern parts retain four arches of warheads prior to 1150, and the church Saint-Denis thus belongs to a group of about forty churches in the same case within the department. Another feature is the half-traves that remain of the old cul-de-four apsidioles, which were replaced by Gothic square chapels during the 13th century.
The nave is characterized by its large height and its cornice beauvaisine, but is very sober inside. It is especially the bell tower and its elegant arrow that make the church of Mogneville famous. The second floor dates from the second half of the 12th century, but is already clearly...
